Bristol Rovers boosted their survival hopes with a hard-earned 1-1 draw away at promotion chasing Wrexham on Good Friday, ending a run of six consecutive defeats in League One.
Goalkeeper Jed Ward was called upon to make some early saves as the hosts started strongly. However, it was Rovers who broke the deadlock as Taylor Moore headed in a Matt Butcher corner.
The Gas maintained their lead until the 76th minute as Matty James poked home an equaliser in the penalty area. However, there were calls of handball.
Inigo Calderon's side managed to hold onto the point, and could have won the game late on as Isaac Hutchinson headed a Jack Hunt cross wide before Shaq Forde was brought down in the penalty area with no spot kick given.

KEY EVENT
Full-time: Wrexham 1-1 Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers hold on for the point, but should they have had all three?
On the face of it, it's a great point away from home while their six-game losing streak is now over. The downside? They're still in the relegation zone.
Reaction to come...

Penalty shout for Rovers there
Shaq Forde goes down in the area, but nothing given.

Four minutes of added time
The home fans around us are befuddled with that decision.

Hutchinson heads wide
At least, it looked like the midfielder got a touch there. Hunt floats in a good cross towards the substitute but the ball goes out for a Wrexham goal kick.

Another double Gas change
Ruel Sotiriou and Romaine Saywers off. Scott Sinclair and Isaac Hutchinson on.
Rovers are starting to look leggy now. Need some fresh legs.

GOAL: Wrexham 1-1 Bristol Rovers (James)
Ex-Bristol City man Matty James fires in the equaliser. This is a huge test of Bristol Rovers' character now.

A few technical issues
Our system has been slightly slow this half. Hopefully it sorts itself out.
71Daniel Hargraves
Kofi Shaw coming off
Grant Ward coming on. Will give Rovers a bit more knowhow and discipline, but the teenager has been particularly good today.
70Daniel Hargraves
Weak shot from Shaw
Nice bit of play between the teenager and Shaq Forde. The former shoots but slips at the same time, making it comfortable for Arthur Okonkwo.

Fletcher has the ball in the net
It won't count. Push in the build-up and Inigo Calderon immediately applauds.

Wrexham double change
Jay Rodriguez and Ryan Barnett come off. James McClean and Steven Fletcher come on.

Corner Rovers
Deflection behind the goal. Good chance again.

Double change for Rovers
Clinton Mola and Shaq Forde replace Luke Thomas and Gatlin O'Donkor. Probably wise to take the already-booked Thomas off.

Great claim from Ward
Sam Smith was lurking at the back-post again. The home fans are really cranking up the volume here.

That could've gone anywhere
Wrexham float in another dangerous delivery which goes in towards Jay Rodriguez but goes out. The last touch was a Wrexham one, according to the officials as Rovers survive again.

Break in play here
Eoghan O'Connell is down here for the hosts. One minute of added time has been indicated but it will clearly be more than that.
43Daniel Hargraves
Nearly Moore again
On the opposite side, Kofi Shaw delivers the corner and Moore gets a touch on the ball, but his header goes wide of its target.
42Daniel Hargraves
Gasheads making all the noise here
Home fans are getting increasingly frustrated at how Wrexham have responded to going behind.
As I write that, Jack Hunt wins the Gas a corner.
